Arlene Marie Olson, age 73, of St. Paul, Minnesota, formerly of Winner, SD, went home to be with the Lord on April 5th, 2010. Arlene was born to Mercy Blackbull/Killsplenty and Felix Green on February 19, 1937 in Rosebud, SD where she grew up and later moved to Winner, SD where she married Elmer Olson and started her family. In 1985 she moved to St. Paul, MN where she resided until her passing. Arlene worked for the vice chairman of Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux community/Mystic Lake Casino for the past 15 years making beautiful satin star quilts that were presented to all the performers, including President Clinton and President Bush. Arlene loved to sew, bake, cruise around and have family gatherings and cookouts, but most important to her was her family and faith. She was a proud member of Third Day Ministries in Newport, MN where she attended every Sunday. Arlene was proceeded in death by her son, Michael Kelley Olson, Sr., parents Mercy Killsplenty and Felix Green, her husbands Elmer Olson and Roy Stinehagen, her sisters Marie "Veronica" Twocharger, Ethelyn "Kay" Killsplenty, brothers Lawrence Green and Conrad Killsplenty, and her grandmother Elizabeth "Lizzie" Buckman, also, by her aunts Lavina Blackbull, Evelyn Blacklance, and daughter-in-law Pauline Starboy/Olson. She is survived by eight children, Twila "Marie" Salazar of St. Paul, MN, Connie Wright of St. Paul, MN, Kevin (Ruth) Olson of Sioux Falls, SD, Dina (Rocky) Smith of St. Paul, MN, Wanda (Rick) Hendricks of Oakdale, MN, Richard Olson Sr. of Sioux Falls, SD, Lori (Rick) Cook of Cottage Grove, MN, Brigitte (Hayna) of Granite Falls, MN, 44 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren, one brother Larry (Dale) of Rapid City, SD, sister Rita Dylan of Sioux Falls, SD, and many neices and nephews.
